honestly

honesty with god is something few people grasp. honesty is a powerful thing. the bible even says, “the truth will set you free.” –john 8:32. so, my question to you is this: how honest are you with god?

do you admit your weaknesses to god? or, do you fail to see any? do you let him know you’re hopelessly pathetic without him? or, have you honestly never considered yourself hopeless or pathetic? when you fail…when you sin do you automatically go to him and lay it all before him? or, do you try to explain yourself?

here’s an incredible verse, and one i live my life by: “blessed is the man whose sin the lord does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.” –psalm 32:2. the way i read it is…the lord forgives those who are open and honest with him…those who see what they are with and without him.

so, people, let’s get honest with god. don’t hold back…tell him, confess to him, open yourself up to him.
