adreneline

busy days get my adreneline pumping…like today. my mind actually began racing around 4am, as i considered a plan for tackling what needs to be done. sometimes, i’m an adreneline junky. then, there are times i just want to relax and take some time away from the adreneline rush.

so, first thing this morning i forced myself to make a healthy breakfast, and sit down with my bible to spend some time with god. and of course that’s when the phone starts ringing. first, it was my sister. jake spent the night and woke up with a cold…great. then, my mom called to remind me to call my grandma. so, i called grandma, but instead spoke to my cousin for awhile. then, dad called to see how our 9-year-old, al, is doing at summer camp. i told him i hadn’t heard from him since we dropped him off, so i was taking that as a good sign that he was having so much fun he forgot about us. i received 3 other phone calls, several text messages, finished my bible reading, uttered a prayer, checked e-mail, on-line banking, and now i’m blogging. adrenaline!

i’m now heading out the door for some shopping. it’s mine and pastor al’s 18th wedding anniversary on monday. word of advice: if you’re in youth ministry, don’t get married in the summertime. you will get the shaft. i also promised to buy a back-to-school outfit for a single mom’s daughter in our church. i have human video practice this afternoon, courtney’s sweet 16 birthday party, and the fine arts benefit concert tonight in the crave cafe. dude!

so, now that i’ve vented, i have my head clear. i know what i’m doing and when i’m doing it. c ya!
