school’s out for summer!

the day has finally arrived! we don’t have to get up while it’s still dark outside any longer. we can sleep in and stay up late. is your family as excited as mine is for summer to finally be here?

this morning, the school held it’s annual end-of-the-year awards ceremony. i was so proud of al. he got straight A’s this year…which is a miracle. he worked hard and made the principal’s list. third grade is now behind us. his teacher did a fantastic job. he grew up a whole lot this year. the only complaint i can have is she didn’t have an end-of-the-year party. what’s that all about? oh, well we’ve been celebrating at home all week…screaming each morning, “this is the last monday before summer vacation. whoo hoo!” then, “this is the last tuesday…” then, “…wednesday…” you get the picture. al’s best friend trevor is having a sleepover/pool party tonight. i think that’s celebration enough.

i also talked my sister into having a sleepover at her house with jake. i’m so smart! my husband and i are looking forward to a quiet evening at home…alone…that is after we attend CCA’s graduation.
