why i love my husband

today, i want to brag on my husband a bit. i want to tell you what’s so great about him, and encourage you to pray for the qualities that will make up your future husband. if you’re already married, it won’t hurt for you to take a minute and reflect upon your man’s good qualities.

i met al force for the first time when i was just turning 19. he was a new christian and quickly became involved in my church and the youth ministry. so, we were together alot because we were the kind of christians who are always at the church. if there was a prayer meeting…we were there; if our youth pastor said we were going witnessing…we were there; if he said we were going on a missions trip…we did.

the first thing that attracted me to my husband was his passion for sharing God’s plan of salvation with everyone he could. he loved to witness and share his testimony with others…so did i. we would meet every friday night and go witnessing in daytona beach. our friendship grew as we shared a passion for souls.

another thing that attracted me to him was the call of God on his life. he was determined to do something for God. so was i. when the sparks began to fly between us, i quickly told him i was going to bible college. he told me he was, too, and he chose the exact same school i was planning to attend. our relationship began with a passion to be used by God, and that passion is still one of the most important things in our marriage.

my husband is a tender man, he’s sensitive to the things of the Lord, and he cares about others. he is generous. he is compassionate. he is humble. he is confident in who he is in the Lord. my husband is a fantastic father, spending lots of quality time with our boys yet setting the example of a hard-working man. he is fun-loving and adventurous. he likes to shop. he isn’t a picky eater. he takes care of our home and family in that old-fashioned, man’s man way while treating me with respect as an equal…his partner. we laugh alot…i love that. he buys me gifts. he enjoys my femininity, understanding my need for tons of moisturizers and eye creams, the latest in makeup, my obsession with clothes, and he even joined me at the spa once for a massage.

i think i could go on and on…i hope you see how much i love him. i can’t imagine life without him. he is a partner in every way. i think it’s wonderful to have someone with which to share life. a husband is a gift from God! i’m glad i got one of the best.
