Peace
Today, I found myself thanking God for the peace He’s given me. That “peace of God, which transcends all understanding” (Philippians 4:7) is something to be treasured…being able to sleep like a baby when you should be stressed out and biting your nails. Awesome!
Did you know that peace (Galatians 5:22) is also a fruit of the Spirit? God wants for us to be at peace. If we’re living constantly at odds with others, frazzled over everything, depressed, feeling turmoil from within, we’re not living according to God’s will.
Now, I’m not saying that God won’t allow us to go through some crazy junk sometimes to test our faith. But, what I am saying is that if we are living according to God’s Word, we will be at peace about the outcome. A person at peace can weather storms that will destroy others.
Peace is an inner strength…strength based on faith in God and knowing He is in control because you’ve given Him control.
So…when you’re feeling a little pressured…remember God’s peace.
