Prom Night
Last night Pastor Al and I joined the junior and senior class at CCA for their prom night. It was a beautiful event held at The Chapel And The Tavern In The Garden.
We arrived to a beautiful garden atmosphere filled with dressed-up kids and parents donning video cameras. They videod our approach and we waved and exclaimed how good their kids looked, then there was that uncomfortable silence as they continued videoing but we couldn’t think of anything to say…parents.
My husband wore a nice black and white pin stripe suit and I wore a black lace strapless dress…it was fun getting dressed up. We did hope to go out afterwards, but unfortunately the boys and I have been sick with the flu, so I really didn’t feel like it. I was glad to get out of the house…I’ve been stuck inside for days.
I love seeing the girls dresses. Some of my favorites were Alli Fontaine, Sarah Jones, and Bethany Gresham. Of course there were many others who looked fantastic. Alli’s dress was a beautiful teal blue strapless, with lots of draping and ruching. Sarah wore a white tulle gown covered in black beading. The top of the dress was completely covered in the black beads. Bethany’s dress was a yellow silk with a haltar top, beautifully decorated with rhinestones. The girls all looked fabulous!
Well, it was fun! Mrs. Crickenberger did a great job in creating a magical evening for the seniors. Many of the seniors arrived over an hour and a half late because their limo driver wanted to take the scenic route. We actually started eating before they arrived.
I hope they all behaved themselves with the after-prom festivities.
Seniors, we’re praying for you and what your future holds.
