How Immature!

Tonight, I’m reminiscing about the old days, just before I turned 18. I was young…beautiful…saved…and ready for everyone to consider me mature. I didn’t act like alot of girls my age, still chasing boys and acting 16. No, I was beyond all that…mature, sophisticated. I didn’t chase boys, men chased me (or that’s what I hoped for anyway). I had a budding career working at a local health club (there’s alot of money in that–ha ha). I was a part of vital ministries at our church: worship dance, street ministry, youth leader.

I was so worried about others considering me mature that I was about to miss out on my final teen years…the really fun ones when you’re an adult, but still considered a kid ( so you get the best of both worlds). Luckily, I met some really fun friends who helped me act a little less mature (but in a godly way).

What’s my point? Enjoy your youth! Use your age to your advantage. How can you use your age to your advantage, you ask? First, your parents are now giving you alot of freedom so you can get involved in so many fun things…especially at church. Second, you’re young…people expect for you to make mistakes…they won’t hold it against you. Third, you’ll be an old fuddy duddy before you can sneeze three times, so make the most of these times. Get involved in every fun thing that comes along…but don’t loose your salvation over it. You should be going on every trip Crave does. You should be hanging out with great friends and building memories that will last a lifetime.
