Spiritual Spectators

Here’s a verse I read today that made me think: Ephesians 3:10–”His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.” I read this verse several times to ponder its meaning.

Did you know that there’s a spiritual world out there we cannot see? It’s like an unseen dimension…a flipside to our flesh-driven world. As Christians, we go through spiritual awakening when we receive salvation. Then, we spend our lives building our spirit…our spiritual side increases while our flesh and its sinful desires decrease.

Our salvation is a witness to spiritual beings…did you know that? They watch…they learn…and they understand God’s wisdom as God works in us. 1 Peter 1:12 says concerning the miracle of salvation, “Even angels long to look into these things.” Wow! What an amazing thing salvation is!

Remember, as Christians we aren’t really at home on this earth. Hebrews 11:13-16 speaks of people who live as aliens among their own…they know their home is not upon this earth but is in Heaven. That world…our home with God…awaits us.

Are you living your life as a citizen of Heaven? Or are you living it as a citizen of this present world?
